Dr Justin Choong

Dr Choong graduated from The University of Adelaide in 2016 and completed his hospital training at The Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospitals. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2021.

He enjoys all aspects of general practice and family medicine, with particular interests in skin cancer medicine and minor surgery, no-scalpel vasectomy, chronic disease management, and preventive medicine. 

Dr Choong has undertaken extensive additional training in skin cancer medicine and surgery and is a member of the Skin Cancer College Australasia. He has had several years of experience privately assisting a plastic surgeon at Stirling Hospital.

Dr Choong provides no-scalpel vasectomy services both privately and with the not-for-profit family planning organisation MSI Australia (vasectomy.org.au). He has operating rights for skin cancer surgery and no-scalpel vasectomy at Burnside Day Surgery for patients with private health insurance. He is trained in Implanon NXT contraceptive implant insertion.

Dr Choong has also completed accreditation in Obstetrics Shared Care and Palliative Shared Care, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Child Health through Western Sydney University.

Outside of medicine, Dr Choong enjoys music, exercise, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
